Snowlegend mountain guides revel in light powder in April in the Vallons de Chancel. April in La Grave off-piste ! The freeride tracks along the cliffs go to the Patou couloir. You will have to pass 1 by 1 in the couloir, these are safety instructions to respect and so you are all alone in a magnificent couloir and enjoy this wild atmosphere so particular to La Grave.

Freeride skiing in the forest at La Grave offers a beautiful off-piste terrain. The Snowlegend guides know some beautiful glades and couloirs. Beware there are icefalls and cliffs. Visibility is good in the middle of the larches. A very pleasant day of retreat when the top of the domain is closed due to strong winds or high avalanche risk or poor visibility.

Leeloo enjoys freeride skiing in the powder at La Grave between 2400m and P1. Nice when the visibility is zero above 3000m.

The village is at an altitude of 1450 meters, in the heart of the Ecrins massif, La Grave is an open balcony on the mythical summit of the Meije 3986m, the Mecca of off-piste skiers. The Snowlegend guides' chalet is located in front of the cable cars of the Meije glaciers which give access to the fabulous freeride area of international reputation. We welcome skiers and snowboarders from all over the world + or - 48 nationalities.

With Snowlegend freeride guide, book a short stay or weekend to discover the off-piste area of La Grave. There is so much to discover on skis and snowboard: the classic routes such as the Vallons de La Meije, de Chancel or the descent to Saint Christophe en Oisans; the numerous 30 to 50° couloirs; the variety of routes with vertical drops of 2000m and more. The cable car of the glaciers of La Meije takes you up to 2400, 3200, 3600 meters of altitude and gives you access to a multitude of off-pistes. Here the tracks and markings do not exist, it is an unsecured high mountain area under your own responsibility.
You can book a private guide or join a group. For the sake of quality and safety, Snowlegend prefers to guide groups of no more than 4 to 5 riders for the couloirs and itineraries. We accept groups of 6 riders only for the classic itineraries.
